APEX RF FAQs: Sessions, Comfort & Results Timeline
We introduced APEX RF in an earlier post. Since then, the most common follow-up questions from patients have been about what the treatment actually feels like, how many visits it takes, and when results become noticeable. Here’s a straight answer to each.
Is it uncomfortable?
Most patients describe APEX RF sessions as tolerable, with a warming sensation in the treated area rather than significant pain. Comfort levels can vary by individual, and your provider will check in with you throughout the session.
How long is a session, and how many do I need?
Session length and total number of sessions depend on your specific treatment goals and are determined during your consultation — there’s no generic package that fits everyone. Dr. Mbaraonye will build a plan around your goals and health history.
Is there any downtime?
APEX RF is non-surgical, and most patients resume normal activity immediately after a session. Mild, temporary warmth or redness in the treated area is common and typically resolves quickly.
When will I notice results?
As with other radiofrequency-based treatments, results tend to develop gradually over the weeks following treatment rather than appearing immediately. Your provider will walk you through what a realistic timeline looks like based on your individual treatment plan.
How do I know if I’m a candidate?
The only reliable way to know is a consultation. A thorough intake — including your health history and specific goals — is how we determine whether APEX RF is the right option, or whether a different approach makes more sense for you.
