In our last post we explained what EmpowerRF is. This time we’re answering the questions patients actually ask once they’re considering booking a consultation — recovery, timing, and what a realistic results timeline looks like.

Is there downtime?

EmpowerRF is a non-surgical treatment, and most patients return to normal daily activities the same day. Some mild, temporary redness or swelling in the treated area is common immediately after a session and typically resolves quickly. Your provider will walk you through what’s normal for your specific treatment plan at your consultation.

How many sessions does it take?

This varies by individual and by treatment goals. Because EmpowerRF combines multiple energy-based technologies that can be customized to a patient’s specific concerns, session count is determined during a consultation rather than as a one-size-fits-all number — this is one of the first things Dr. Mbaraonye will discuss with you.

When do results show up?

As with most radiofrequency-based treatments, results tend to build gradually as the body responds over subsequent weeks, rather than appearing instantly after one session. Your provider will set expectations specific to your treatment plan and goals so you know what a realistic timeline looks like for you.

Who is a good candidate?
